Full Moon Rise

Full Moon Rise. Full Moon rise over Squamish BC. This was shot after the sun went down as the moon started to rise. It was magical sitting on the balcony, I took a bunch of shots before I told my family the moon was out! Tee hee!.

Morning Reflection

Morning Reflection. A few weeks back I was out shooting at sunrise and captured this image at the Gorge Waterway. It was a grey morning and I was about to leave when the sun just popped between the trees..

The Gorge

The Gorge. The other day I was at the Gorge for sunrise, because it's such a nice walk. I can't believe people live here! I enjoyed my morning watching the sun come up. It's been raining ever since. :(.

Morning Park

Morning Park. The Gorge Waterway in Victoria is a beautiful walk. I got up early this morning to see what it was going to be like before there was people there. I still don't know. Lots of folks out walking for the sunrise. I managed to sneak off to the side to get a people-free shot of the sunrise. I love the mood in this shot..

That's a Big Rock!

That's a Big Rock!. The absolute coolest thing about Rio De Janerio was the build up of the city between all these crazy mountains. This one was breath-taking at sunset, as the sun just hit the wall of buildings and the mountains, and it reflected perfectly in the lagoon below it. What is crazy is I think the cement pillars in the mountain are there to prevent the rocks at the top from falling down. I wonder what building insurance goes for under that thing? The Light Struggles to Hold On

The Light Struggles to Hold On. Rio might possibly be one of the most beautiful places in the world. I only wish I had my nice SLR camera with me, but I was too mobile and too focused on the World Cup to lug it around with me. So I had my CoolPix point and shoot, it didn't do a half bad job. One night we were hanging on the beach, it had been cloudy most of the day, and the sun just struggled one last time to break the clouds hold, and then ultimately failed... but it resulted in this rather ominous and epic shot. Good Night Toronto

Good Night Toronto. Ah, my home-town. This shot taken from the Docks in Toronto of the famous CN Tower and the rest of the Toronto Skyline. Shot this during the summer. I would wager this place is getting quite cold these days. View the larger version on Flickr

Crabbing

Crabbing. Out in Sidney, BC, there is a long fishing pier, and this guy happened to be all alone today crabbing. What's interesting is this guy also taught me how to tell the difference between a male and female crab. Can you do that? View the larger version on Flickr
