A life Twisted

A life Twisted. Last weekend went for a hike and found this arbutus tree that seems to be confused about which way is up. Just twisting like a cork screw out to the salty inlet. I thought it was pretty cool..

Rolling Hills

Rolling Hills. Another throw back to when I was in Alaska. This one was amazing, on the 12th floor of a cruise ship saling down to the Dawes Glacier. The mountains on either side just shot up out of the ocean. In this case, pictures just don't do it justice..

Dyea Point

Dyea Point. Another flashback from my trip to Alaska, this time in Skagway, AK. Such a beautiful city. At the end of the stay someone recommended a small hike out to Dyea Point, boy was it worth it. Do you agree?.

Coming Round the Mountain

Coming Round the Mountain. Back in the summer we visited the BC Forestry centre in Duncan, and they had an awesome, working steam engine that travelled around on a small loop. Only a bit of waiting and you can see this train lumbering through the woods at a super slow pace..

Looks Like A Painting

Looks Like A Painting. This summer I took a trip up to Alaska and it was a bit sureal. I haven't posted any pictures yet because I think they all look unreal. It's weird how that happens. When you are photographing something that looks so different than what you are used to capturing, it doesn't feel real..

Creek Side Village

Creek Side Village. Recently took a cruise to Alaska, Ketchikan, AK was definitely my favourite place to stop. Wandering across town I stumbled upon the creek side walk looking for the salmon ladder. What a tream to find this quaint little fishing village lining the river absolutely jammed with salmon..

Hidden Cove

Hidden Cove. After a treacherous "slip" down into the gully of the cove, I was rewarded with this beautiful tree reaching out of the cove for the sunlight. Sadly, again the sea otters wouldn't grace my picture, intead I got the Canadian Geese..

HeadSpace Spot

HeadSpace Spot. I spent a lot of time running through Thetis Lake Park here on Vancouver Island. I usually run with my GoPro and on this particular day I got lost and found a lovely waterfall. If I wasn't on a run for exercise, I probably would have done some headspace mediation at this spot. Would you?.

Tide Changes

Tide Changes. On a hike earlier in the year I took this picture at Witty's Lagoon. I was wondering what these upright logs were for. The lagoon almost completely drains, so it's likely not an old dock. Do you know what they are for?.

Bridge over Troubled Water (Landscape)

Bridge over Troubled Water (Landscape). Took a short hike today down the otherside of Witty's Lagoon trail, it was quite nice and I got a few water falls out of it. This particular one was captivating, and I ended up spending 20-30 minutes crawling around on the rocks and logs at the bottm. Managed to avoid a soaker as well!.
