Obligatory Spring Rhody Shot (3 of 3). Two more explosions about to happen. I was actually surprised to see those bugs on the blossom on the left. I totally didn't see those little guys in person. Score one for macro lenses! View the larger version on Flickr
Obligatory Spring Rhody Shot (2 of 3). Surprise! I was playing with my macro lens and like trying to get the little pollen makers in focus, I discovered an ant! he was totally chillin the entire time I was there on this flower. Clearly he's escaping his duties with the ant colony to relax in teh sun on this flower. View the larger version on Flickr
Obligatory Spring Rhody Shot (1 of 3). Back in 2004, or something like that, I discovered that I took 90% flower shots, and I swore not to take another flower shot.... like ever. But they never really stopped catching my eye. This is taken in my back yard. This Rhody seems to bloom every other year, and it's super pink! So I decided a small series was in order. :) View the larger version on Flickr
Tidal Pool. At Witty's Lagoon this past weekend, the water was super calm, which left some quite nice pools of water on the beach for playing in! The sea weed looked desperate, clinging to this rock for support. It was a very relaxing moment View the larger version on Flickr
Play Exhaustion. If you're at the beach for a few hours, you might very well get exhausted, and it might very well look like this... View the larger version on Flickr
My First Audition. Sometimes just putting a tutu on your head and striking a pose makes for a great photo. I love colour, and this has oodles of colour and so much mood. such a poser! View the larger version on Flickr
Above the Clouds. Another shot from my floatplane ride flying of the Olympic Penisula. Clouds were super low, and even foggy in some areas, made for a rather mysterious flight home. It made me wonder, isn't Forks around here somewhere? View the larger version on Flickr
Lake Union Park. This part of Lake Union Park is beautiful. The big tree, the inlet from the lake. Seattle really is a beautiful city View the larger version on Flickr
Good bye Victoria!. Another float plane shot today, I snapped this earlier in the week when I flew out of Victoria on a glorious sunny day! Looking at this reminded me heavily of the 10K I ran down that road just the day before... oh, no, wait, my back and sore muscles as I sat in a cramped float plane reminded me of that, but hey, I ran that road! A Fly by Alki. I took off in a Kenmore Air Floatplane today and we buzzed the city and I got this great view of Alki beach! it's been forever since I've had time to go and hang out on that beach, one of my favorite places to hang out in Seattle. I shot this quick in easy-panorama mode on my Nikon CoolPix! View the larger version on Flickr
Forever Waiting. Down at Fisherman's Warf, it was hilariout o see this manican sitting on the floating home just waiting. it looked like it was looking down the pier for her guy to come home... he just never seemed to come View the larger version on Flickr
Grew up a little Twisted. This tree caught my eye today, and with the puff of long grass at it's base, made for a great shot! View the larger version on Flickr
Decay. The train tracks near my house haven't been used in over 3 years, which is good for me right? (although it was only a small single car commuter train for a year)... they make for some great photos, like this one that I modified to make it look old View the larger version on Flickr
I have been into photography as a hobby since I got my first digital camera in 1999, the equipment purchases have never stopped since. I shoot primarily with my iPhone or Canon 5D Mark II. I occasionally shoot with my GoPro Hero 3 Black edition or Nikon Coolpix.
